Together for Teens: Fighting Bullying, Breaking the Silence on Suicide - In Memory of William Vosper 2006 - 2023

Will to Thrive was created in memory of William Vosper — a son, a brother, a nephew, a grandson and a friend.
William was full of life, laughter, and creativity. And he had a wicked sense of humor! He loved deeply and was deeply loved. But like so many young people, William carried struggles that were not always visible.
In 2023, at just 17 years old, we lost him to suicide. His passing left our family heartbroken, and it reminded us of a truth that too many families already know: bullying, mental health challenges, and the weight of silence can be overwhelming for teens.
We founded Will to Thrive to honour William’s memory and to make a difference for other young Australians.
Our mission is to ensure that no teenager feels they have to face their hardest days alone. We want every teen to know that their life matters, that help is real, and that there are safe, supportive communities ready to stand with them.
Through awareness, connection, and practical support, Will to Thrive works to:
Shine a light on the realities of bullying and suicide.
Encourage open conversations about mental health.
Provide resources and community that help teens build hope and resilience.
William’s story is at the heart of everything we do. While we can’t change what happened, we can carry forward his memory by helping others find the strength, support, and will to thrive.
At Will to Thrive, our mission is simple: to help Australian teens find hope, strength, and support when they need it most.
We work to:
Stand against bullying by raising awareness and encouraging kindness and respect.
Break the silence around mental health by creating safe spaces and open conversations.
Support teens in need through community, resources, and the reminder that they are not alone.
Every action we take is guided by one belief: that every young person deserves the chance to thrive.
No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.
At Will to Thrive, every action of support helps us create a safer, stronger future for Australian teens. Here’s how you can be part of it:
